Naturally Healthy May 2019

Lots of excellent creative, fun and inspiring events are being promoted through Natural Devon, our county’s local nature partnership, to encourage us all to connect with Nature.

I’m advertising nearly all my May events there, and, to encourage more folk to #StepOutside I’m offering a bring a friend for free deal on both my forest bathing dates at Dartington.

Saturday 4th May’s twilight bathe and Saturday 18th May’s morning spring stroll.

May also brings you two creative journeys with the wonderful Faery whisperer, Claire Casely. On May 1st we will be In Lustleigh Orchard meeting the Fae folk and finding out about the folklore associated with the apple trees and Beltane. While on May 19th we venture to Stoke Gabriel to meet the faeries in the community Orchard and our ancestors and the guardian spirits of the great Yew tree in the Church yard.

Both walks will be a delicious blend of creative and sensory invitations and Claire’s guided visualisations and knowledge of folklore. We shall celebrate and share our learnings over a faery tea at the end of each event.

Finally, two events “Being the Dart” & “The Bards of Penstave Copse” guided by myself and Mike Ingram, ecologist, take place this month. We invite you to drop into your senses and immerse yourself in the sounds and sights as we guide you along the river Dart at Dartington and through Penstave Copse by South Brent. Learning through our senses the ecology there and allowing our create muses to inspire prose to share over breakfast.

There are only 4 places left on the Bards walk as I write, so get in touch soon if you want to come.
