Creative Journeys

Welcome to Creative Journeys in Nature

with Emma Capper, artist & mentor

Imagine stepping effortlessly into the moment, feeling the wind caress your cheek like a lover, scents and sounds that sing your song of belonging. Welcoming you back into wonder and joy, inspiring a spirit of curiosity you might remember from your own childhood. Anything is possible, magic is real and you are loved for who you are right now.

Imagine being with a group of people where you can speak from the heart and be heard. Imagine that group being surrounded by all the beings of the natural world, interconnected, supported and alive.

No monkey mind, the inner critic has a holiday and your creative self can step out to play with no agenda, no risk or judgement. Everything is welcome and welcomes you home.

Come take a wander in the woods with me and remember this life, this way of being in relation to yourself and all that is, watch your world transform as you see the stories of your life with new eyes.

I am an artist & certified ANFT Nature and Forest therapy guide based in Devon, England.

Burt, my faithful hound and I in the woods at Dartington.
Burt is 14 yrs old and we always check out new trails for wanders together. I often follow him as he seems to have an uncanny knack of leading me to just the right place for each invitation.

In 2013 I founded Creative Journeys in Nature, weaving my love of art and nature together to curate workshops and forest therapy walks to connect adults with their innate creativity and our natural world.

As an artist I have always found time in the natural world to be my chief muse and refuge. I have consciously chosen places to live where I have easy access to a wood or green space as I have learnt how miserable and lost I can become without my daily dose from mother Nature.

You can read more about my journey here and sign up to my newsletter to follow me as it unfolds.

“We often forget that WE ARE NATURE. Nature is not something separate from us. So when we say that we have lost our connection to nature, we’ve lost our connection to ourselves.”
― Andy Goldsworthy

From the shop

Two trees with exposed, tangled roots spread across rocky ground in a forested area with dense green foliage in the background.
