Creative Journeys

Rooted – FAQ

Q1.   Are meals provided?

We will be providing a light and satisfying vegan/vegetarian lunch on both days, such as homemade soup and salads, with local sourdough and G.F. bread. We will also provide a light meal at around 6pm. We invite participants to bring sweet treats, fruit and snacks to share. All of our meals are suitable for vegans. Please let us know in advance of any food allergies.

There is a kitchen space where you can make hot drinks, create your own food and store perishable items in the fridges.

Q2.   Is this course online or in person?

Both ! We meet in person on four weekends. The online meetings are optional, however, they offer an important live connection with the group. During the online sessions, we check in with each other, and then we focus on an inspiring aspect of the next weekend to come. We will offer creative, reflective invitations (or Rooted at home work !) which will help to prepare you for the next Elemental weekend..

Q3.  What happens during the Saturday evening session?

On Saturday evening we intend to have time from 7 til 8.30 to discuss around the fire a topic related to the weekend’s theme. If there is group agreement we may go on a little adventure to a local beach for a swim or a twilight wander in the woods.

Q4. Parking and access

There is plenty of parking and the main area where we will gather is a one minute stroll down a gentle slope from the parking area.

Q5.  Where can I stay overnight on the non residential evenings?

The Hearth offers 3 different options on site. 2 shepherds huts or a cottage. We do not have exclusive booking rights, so best to get in early. Camping may be possible too.

Nearby there are many Air bnb options.

Q6. Payment Plan

We have a payment plan to help spread the cost of the course. Details are available on the booking form. Your place is only secured once you have paid the deposit. Then we require you to set up a standing order for the rest of the payments.

Q7. What can I expect activity wise on a day?

We will be guided by the weather in terms of schedule, as we aim to spend as much of the course outside as is comfortable for all participants. There will be circle time, gentle walking and creative activities on the land in the woods and summer meadow. Time sharing as a group, in pairs and solo time to create and reflect.
