A series of six gentle, walking-based enquiries for people who have experienced breast cancer treatment.
in a beautiful natural setting near Totnes, Devon
Thursdays, 11 January – 25 April 2024
one session every three weeks from 10am to 2pm
As we move from winter to spring, we will explore ways of making sense of what we have been through.
Together, we will open up ways to honour and step into a renewed identity with courage and grace.
This journey is for you if…
♥ Your main breast cancer treatment is over – several months or even several years ago. You may continue to take a medication such as Tamoxifen or Letrozole.
♥ You feel changed by your experience of breast cancer treatment, and maybe a little more uncertain.
♥ You are curious, willing to listen and share experiences as a respectful group. – We will hold a reflective circle towards the end of each session. By taking part in this research you will be helping others who face breast cancer in the future, as well as benefiting yourself.
♥ You enjoy walking outdoors: whenever it feels unsure underfoot we will wander more slowly, taking care of each other. We hope to spend about half of each session outdoors. You will need outdoor clothing and footwear for winter and spring weather. Expect some drizzle, wind and cold, but beautiful bright sunshine too! (In case of a yellow weather warning we will gather indoors.)
♥ You can commit to most or all of the six sessions.
This unique experience is offered as a pilot as part of Sarah’s funded PhD research.
Thanks to this funding we can offer this to you in exchange for your consent to take part in this research through your feedback and small booking fee of £30.
